Estill Level 1 & 2 Course Content:

The Level One and Level Two courses cover the core of Estill Voice Training: Estill Voice Figures and Qualities. The training is conducted in a hybrid format, including both online and in-person sessions. The five-day course is divided into five three-hour online training sessions and three in-person days. This format makes it easy to complete the course alongside work or studies.

LEVEL ONE: Figures for Voice Control

The Level One course focuses on Estill Voice Figures. The course covers 13 figures, or physiological structures, that affect voice function and quality. Practicing these figures aims to control their impact on the voice, enhancing power, clarity, and stamina. The figures are practiced in small groups during each training day, especially during in-person sessions. You will also have the opportunity to apply these figures to your repertoire or voice use during open sessions. There is also time allocated for questions and discussions.

LEVEL TWO: Six Voice Qualities; Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Belting, Opera

The Level Two course focuses on six voice qualities researched by Jo Estill: Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Belting, and Opera. These qualities are explored through hands-on practice and by examining their variations, characteristics, possibilities, and acoustic properties.
This comprehensive course includes both Level One and Level Two, and you cannot attend just one part. The course is designed to be manageable alongside work or studies.
